The IT Project Coordinator performs administrative and technical work that provides IT project coordination to the organization.

This position is involved in all phases of IT projects including the coordination of technical design, contract administration and documentation; the preparation of project requirements, status reports, plans, schedules and budgets; ongoing project monitoring and tracking; and providing regular status updates to management on project progress.

The focus of this position will be on the coordination of a number of IT software and hardware upgrade projects. Technical knowledge and hands-on experience with IT software and hardware technologies is required. The Information Technology Project Coordinator coordinates project teams to deliver various IT projects; develops and prepares comprehensive project plans including: project scope, timelines, risks and specifies deliverables and quality expectations; manages the implementation and achievement of assigned project objectives, follows up with decisions that are made when appropriate or necessary; assigns tasks, schedules timelines and coordinates technical/professional staff on a project basis to ensure timely delivery; prepares, monitors and tracks various projects budgets and staff; monitors, coaches and mentors the performance of project team members; organizes and leads meetings with project team and stakeholders as required and manages actions arising from them; facilitates input from stakeholders to arrive at appropriate solutions; ensures project closeout at completion; and performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Completion (near completion) of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field supplemented by courses in project management, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additionally, the successful applicant will have thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of project management including knowledge of information technology project planning and estimating and project management software and tools.
